Name: Teltoli Rifflappin Riverbuck. Friends opt for calling him Tel.
Age: Late 30's
Gender: Male
Species: Yer standard hare wot!
Rank: South Tower Commander

Physical Description/Distinguishing Features: Tel is a ruddy red brown hare, lanky and limber as most hares tend to be. He does not however, possess the bulging gut that many of his kind do, opting to keep himself in form to fight or run as the case may be. He stands the height of most hares though his ears droop slightly at their tips making him appear maybe a few inches shorter. He has deep brown eyes, in which you can't see his pupils unless the sun hits them just right. His eyes sparkle brightly, adding a jovial nature to his face. A faint mask of black fur covers the area around his eyes and over the bridge of his short nose. He also sports black ears, paws, and footpaws from the hocks downward. His chest fur lightens to a creamy white which carries on down the rest of his torso. Tel is fit and quite lean, but like most hares enjoys a good scoff when food is at paw.

As for distinguishing features, Tel has a few colored bars of tattoo work on his upper arms and rings of Celtic knot work tattoos about both wrists. The bars have been there for ages, the knot work he must have obtained more recently.

Special Talents/ Skills: Teltoli voice is a high, reedy tenor, with which he is able to balance notes and carry on nice melodies. He can also play a small reed flute he keeps in a pouch at his side. His favorite talent revolves around the culinary art of the road. Though he feel foreign in a kitchen the hare is seemingly magical at whipping up superb vittles when on campaign. It is also well known to his closer friends that the hare is gifted in counseling. Though his words are few they have been known to be just right to comfort beasts or give them guidance in many situations. I'm sure he has other skills but only time will bring them to fruition.

Military Experience: Quite experienced on the battlefield, this hare has been in the thick of the Fur 'N Footpaw reginments and in the heat of battle, living to tell many fur raising tales. His time in the regiments took place in the early part of his life however he is still skilled at helping in the command of skirmishes and tactical maneuvers. His more recent military aid has been to that of Fort Ruddler where he served loyally to Drill Sergeant Sandfur Dunerunner and Navy Commander Ariel Oceantear as the Gate Keeper. He later rose in rank to take on the role of Commanding Drill Sergeant but always loved his service as Gatehouse Keeper the most.

Weapons: Tel is practiced in the use of many weapons, though at this time he only carries his dirks, one rapier, and his javelin. He normally wears a rapier at his side when on duty. He has packed the dirks, rapier, and javelin from Fort Ruddler but only outfits in all three in times of battle. The weapons he can use are listed below:

Twin Bladed Javelin: The first weapon the hare trained with. From the two pawed gripping he was able to begin his skill with twin wielded weaponry. A medium range weapon akin to a normal javelin but infused on both ends with razors of steel. The weapon is light and agile in the paws, very useful for keeping foes at bay. His javelin is also centered with a steel alloy to keep it from shattering when met with other metal weaponry.

(For some reason he preferres "twin" weapons and can wield most expertly.)

Twin double bladed paw axes: One of Tel's recently favored weaponry. Two medium weighted paw axes, which when not in use rest at Tel's back in specially made holsters. The hare is capable of wielding the axes at high speeds in intricate patterns, to ward off opponents.

Twin Rapiers: Though the hare used to wield two rapiers at once, he now carries only one. The pair for this one was given to Sleekfur, his closest friend, many seasons ago. The one he carries presently is extremely well made, perhaps originating at Salamandastron, though he himself is not totally sure of this. It is light wieght and whipping, good for deflecting blades and delivering stinging attacks. This is Tel's primary and much favored weapon.

Twin serrated dirks: Much like three quarter length swords with serration running down one edge and a keen icy edge down the other, Tel uses these weapons when he is feeling "savage". The cut issued by these weapons is gruesome but highly effective for protecting oneself. His pair were obtained in his campaign period with the Fur N Footpaw Fighters.

Clothing and other items: Tel prefers to dress simply and effectively. He sports a soft green velvet jerkin, upon which are sometimes displayed the medals and ribbons he won in his time at Fort Ruddler. These however, are usually only donned for special occasions. The jerkin draws shut with a strong hemp laced cord at the chest. He wears a broad dark brown barkskin belt and simple gray, hock length, trousers. For footpaw wear the hare wraps his lower legs from the hocks to around the middle of his footpaws with supple black barkskin strapping. He also wraps his forearms from the elbows to the paws with the same material. It is flexible and provides excellent protection. Tel can often be spotted in the morning, humming old traveling marches softly while applying his wraps to arms and legs. The hare's only other trappings are a beaded hemp bracelet over one wrist and a simple silver chain round his neck upon which rests a large charm in the shape of a green oak leaf.

Personality: Tel is jovial by nature and most often adopts a joking air with friends and foes alike. However, he will show his true intentions to foes in one way or another. He is calculating, and willing to bide his time so that his effects are best known. To friends he is a source of warmth and friendship. Many have used him a stalwart companions, somebeast who can be trusted and learned from. The hare in turn, never tops learning from others, picking up wisdom as he moved through his seasons of life. Always good for a song and a bit of good humored banter, very few beasts mind the company of this hare. A tell tale sign of his moods is present in his ears. He waggles them to express himself and carries them different depending on his mood.

Speaking Style: As akin to his kind hare speaks with a rathah harish accent indeed wot wot!

Friends: Tel has friends too numerous to list, though he keeps in contact with few when he moved on to a new place. As stated before he is rather calculating and can read beasts and their intentions quite well. As such his list of friends sometimes touches into the "vermin" side of life and his foes list delves occasionally into "good beasts".

Biography:
Short Bio for now...there's more to it but perhaps this will work:

Tel's life can be split into three sections, his growing years, his time as a campaigner, and his time at Fort Ruddler. The hare was born and raised in a large family at the Riverbuck Encampment in river valley bordering the western plains lands, far west of Mossflower Wood. He had a normal, carefree dibbunhood and is still in close contact with his mother and father (mater and pater a'course wot!). He goes back to the encampment ever fourth season or so to the dlight of his numerous relatives. His ways are much like most of his clans, he comes and goes, but his heart still resides in his home. As obvious with the name of the encampment, his family presides over the twenty or so hare families that make up the group. Tel learned much of his skills with weaponry from his father, and still reports to the wizened old hare for training when he returns home for visits. Though now they train together, each teaching the other.

After growing up, Tel left with the Fur N Footpaw Fighters regiment set up by his father. The regiment was the aspiration for all adolescent hares in the community and other encampment across the western plains. The regiment is split into bands which roam all over the plains and river valleys, and occasionally as far as Mossflower. During his time in this service Tel was involved in many skirmishes with vermin and the like and also a large battle between a large band of marauding searat pirates and the forces of Salmandastron. It is told that the Riverbucks themselves originated from the mountain, with Tel's father still much in allegiance to the current badger Lord or Lady. As such the FNFF were more than willing to respond to the call of Salamandastron for extra aid. It was during this battle that Tel preformed the deeds responsible for earning him the colored tattoos he wears proudly on his forearms. Those tales, however, are for another day.

In more recent years Teltoli left the FNFF allegiance and traveled abroad himself. After much wandering he found himself at the fortified gates of Fort Ruddler. the Fort became his home where he lived out most of his adult seasons, still returning home in the summers to visit his kin. After a large scale battle with a vermin army Fort Ruddler sadly never regained its position of power and began to slip into decline. Teltoli stayed behind with a lean force but they too vanished one by one into the ice and snow of the north. When he knew his time there was completed, he gathered together his few belongings and set footpaw to the dusty trails once more.

Now he finds himself at the gates of Blck Arch Fort, wondering what this place might hold for him...
